SHUT UP

Suddenly everything stopped. The motorway is gone. The everyday open palm gestures exchanged amongst the drivers have decreased, loudness and noise are gone, and the economic life of the city is experiencing deprivation, recession, and all this has brought up feelings of sorrow, dissatisfaction, disappointment, anger, violence, with the society becoming silent so that its wounds are healed by ….a thunderous silence. Culture is a man’s for the society to come out of lethargy, brain inactivity –SHUT UP….. a violent phrase to stop the chatter, but here it is used to stop the resignation which is expressed through silence and the effort to draw attention to other important things which have been sacrificed on the altar of money and financial boom, an effort to activate people to participate in common affairs which will result in a way of life that is less materialistic and more spiritual.
